Brand Identity Process.
This capabilities overview outlines LOMAXcreative's method for crafting comprehensive branding identity design projects, ensuring top-notch quality and client satisfaction. Every project is approached collaboratively to ensure alignment with the client's vision and expectations, resulting in a final product that truly resonates.
Phase One
Research & Logo Concepts
LOMAXcreative will have an in-depth discussion with the client about the target audience for the logo. Initial logo concepts will be developed after this initial research and discussion of the mood boards.
Phase Two
Primary Logo Desgin
After receiving feedback on the logo concepts, a primary logo design will be created. The primary logo design will dictate the needs of the secondary logos.
Phase Three
Secondary Logo Design
Following approval of the primary logo, a family of secondary logos will be created.
Phase Four
Logo Family Production
After all primary and secondary logos are approved by the client, all logos in the logo family will be exported as individual files for use in marketing collateral.
Phase Five - Optional
Style Guide Design & Stationery
A style guide is not included in this SOW but is always recommended for visual consistency. Stationery (business card, letterhead, and envelope) is also advised. These items can be priced separately.
Phase Six
Happy Client!
I am thrilled to be a part of this creative journey!
Phase One:
Research & Logo Concepts Workshop Meeting.
In this meeting, we will discuss the client’s business, target audience, competitors, industry, and core values. This meeting typically requires one hour. Following the meeting, LOMAXcreative will continue researching all items discussed to generate initial ideas for the client’s primary logo design.
Research & Mood Boards.
This phase aims to help LOMAXcreative fully understand the client’s target audience and competitive landscape. We also begin developing logo mood boards to help guide the design in future phases.
Mood boards include a collection of design elements that provide initial images, concepts, colors, and styles proposed for the general “look and feel” of the visual identity.
Round 1 typically includes 2 to 3 mood boards delivered to the client in digital format for feedback. We’ll gather client feedback before moving into the actual logo design.
Phase Two:
Print Design.
Logo Concepts Design Rounds.
LOMAXcreative will create 2 to 3 fully designed logo concepts based on the approved mood boards. LOMAXcreative will collaborate with the client to refine the logo until it matches client preferences within the number of rounds defined in the statement of work.
Final Primary Logo Design.
Working with the client for feedback and approval, we will create the final “Primary Logo.” This version of the logo will stand as the main visual identifier for the brand.
Phase Three:
Secondary Logo Designs.
Following establishing and approving the Primary Logo, LOMAXcreative will create Secondary Logo variations to accommodate future marketing needs. The logo variations often include a vertical version, horizontal version, icon mark with text and without, black on white, white on black, and so forth.
Phase Four:
Logo Family Production.
Following approval of the Primary and Secondary logos, LOMAXcreative will create all file formats necessary for print, web, and social media uses.
Phase Five
Optional: Style Guidelines Design.
A Style Guide establishes the basic rules for the final logo family. This guide is critical to ensuring that all designers, marketers, and other staff who create branded materials consistently treat the identity system.
INCLUDES GUIDELINES FOR:
Primary Logo Usage
Logo Usage Restrictions
Secondary Logo Family Usage
Typography Standards
Color Palette Standards (CMYK, RGB, HEX)
Optional: Stationary Design.
Following approval of the Primary and Secondary logos, LOMAXcreative will create all file formats necessary for print, web, and social media uses. Ask me about bundling a square space site for your upcoming book promotion! Ask me about bundling a Squarespace site to help rollout your new brand!

Next Steps:
Proposal & Statement of Work (Sow).
We would be delighted to work with you to satisfy your business’s design needs. Each engagement with LOMAXcreative includes a proposal and detailed statement of work defining our services. The proposal will clarify the process we will use to execute the project, and the statement of work will act as a formal agreement between LOMAXcreative and you as the client.
